Whetstone started as a reselling operation in northern Indiana — buying unused diabetic supplies from individuals and reselling to established buyers. The business worked. The tooling didn't.
Every time a seller called, the clock started. Dig through the buyer sheets. Do the math. Give a number. The process was slow, error-prone, and entirely dependent on having the right spreadsheet open at the right moment. There had to be a better way.
So we built it. First for our own operation. Then we looked around and realized every other reseller in the space was running the exact same broken setup. Nobody had built purpose-specific tooling for this market. Whetstone is that tooling — built by someone who knows the operation from the ground up, not from a whiteboard.
